In a new iPhone 5 release date rumor, those who can't wait for Apple to officially introduce its new smartphone have another option, thanks to a company in China. There's a new model of smartphone which has been made based on the iPhone 5 design which will soon be available for sale.
According to Web Pro News, the new Goophone I5 is based on what the leaked iPhone 5 prototypes look like. However, it does offer differences such as a 3.5-inch screen rather than the 4-inch screen the new iPhone is rumored to have. Also, this phone has an Android operating system, although it is an unknown version. Price and release date for the Goophone is currently unknown, although ads are already showing it off. This latest news arrives as Apple just recently won its patent infringement lawsuit against Samsung for allegedly copying aspects of the iPhone in their various smartphones. It seems Goophone might get around that as they've based their model on something that isn't even available to copy yet.
Meanwhile, United States customers will likely continue to wait out until the big release date hits for the new Apple iPhone 5. It's expected that an announcement will come at a press event on the 12th of September, with pre-orders from that day up until the 21st. That's when the new iPhone will officially be in customers' hands and ready for use.
